Howard Morley Obituary
Ocean City - Howard "Bud" Edward Morley, known locally as "the Candy Man", passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin. Born in Louisville County, KY, he was the son of the late Clarence Henry Morley and Hilda Ethel Greenback Morley. He was preceded in death by his wife Lydia "Bert" Morley in 2013. He is survived by his children, Howard Todd Morley and companion Tammy of Baltimore, and Denise Morley Sturm and her husband David of Chocowinity, NC. There are two grandchildren, Alex and Gregory Sturm and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his beloved companion Norma Timmons of Ocean City.
Mr. Morley had served in the United States Air National Guard, and had worked for Bethlehem Steel as a millwright. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, OC Cruisers, Ocean City/Berlin Moose Lodge #1638, and AA (38 years sobriety). He was an active member of the Berlin Senior Center, and was an avid collector of vintage Ford classic cars
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, at Bethany United Methodist Church on Rt. 611, Berlin at 11:00AM. Friends may call from 9:30 until 11:00 AM at Bethany United Methodist Church. Rev. Connie Paulson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, (or Bethany United Methodist Men), 8648 Stephen Decatur Hwy, Berlin, MD 21811. Letters of condolence may be sent via: www.burbagefuneralhome.com. Arrangements are in the care of the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.

Every October and May I looked forward to seeing Candy man at the Ocean City car shows!! Every time he saw me he reached in his pocket and pulled out fresh taffy and gave me 2 pieces. Actually all the shows he and I attended he made sure I had my candy fill. He was a kind wonderful man who will be missed terribly!! No One will ever take your place!! Big loss. We will miss you but know you will still be at the shows in spirit!! Your in great hands now!! Hugs
