James Cosner Obituary

James A. Cosner

Crisfield-James A. "Jim" Cosner, 57, of Crisfield, died Saturday, August 5, 2017 at his home.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 16, 1959, he was a son of Dorothy Mae Miller Settan of Salisbury and the late Junior Cosner.

An employee of Tawes Brothers Auto in Crisfield for more than 20 years, he was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan. He enjoyed old cars, yard sales, flea markets and collecting antique trinkets. He especially loved his family and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. He also loved his pet dogs "Barney" and the late "Sugar".

Along with his mother, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Hazel Strain Cosner of Crisfield; two daughters, Erin Cosner and Jennifer Parks and husband Steve, all of Crisfield; three grandchildren, Haley, Zachery, and Justin Parks; two brothers, Larry Cosner of Salisbury and Gerry Cosner (Mary) of Washington State; brothers-in-law, Tony Strain and Billy Strain, both of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his step-father, Charles Settan.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior. The Rev. LeBron Palmer will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations to help the family may be sent to Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home, 306 W. Main Street, Crisfield, MD 21817.
