James Titus Obituary
Salisbury - James Bevans Titus, Jr., of Salisbury, MD passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018. Born September 7, 1953 on a farm in Snow Hill, MD, he was the son of the late James Bevans Titus and Bunie Hill Titus. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra Lewis Titus of 39 years and his beloved sons, Joseph and Andrew and daughter-in-law Caroline, all of Annapolis, MD, as well as brothers Paul, Danny, and sister Bonnie Titus Lewis. In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Titus Danganan. He is also survived by two nieces and five nephews.
After graduating high school, Jim graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelors of Arts - Biological Sciences. He was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a civil servant for the Food Safety and Inspection Service for 32 years prior to his retirement. Jim was a great gardener, who loved ceramics, painting, and his family.
A celebration of life to honor Jim will be held at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Road, in Salisbury, MD between 5-7 PM on Thursday, September 13, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 1 PM the following day Friday, September 14, 2018. Burial will follow after the service at Parsons Cemetery, Salisbury, MD. I am very sorry to read of the passing of your loved one, James. He will be missed greatly. You have lost someone very near and dear to your heart. Please strive to take one day at a time, for you may not know what benefit or encouragement a new day will bring. Please know too, "the God of all comfort," (1Cor. 1:3,4) is here for you as well. I invite you to turn to him in prayer and he will surely sustain you. Once more I am sorry for your loss.
