We are so sad with your unexpected loss. We've had wonderful times with your family and with John. He was one of the happiest guys we knew. It feels as though it was only yesterday that we all spent New Years together in OC. It was one of the best holidays we've shared. Our thoughts and prayers and love go out to all of you at this time.

As a neighbor and friend, John was such an easy going guy. He would call me up reminding me of "Sunday Gunday." He always gave the best advice, and was never afraid to speak his mind. I'll never forget the day I told him my wife was pregnant with our daughter. He told me to never worry about them, and that he would always look out for me and our family. John was a genuine guy; the kind of guy you don't meet every day. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Cox family. Stay strong during this time, and we will always be here if you need anything. .

Pam, John, Brandon, and Angela; I am so very sad in my heart for your loss. Your husband/Dad was a very unique individual that I have so many fond memories of. His stories were just priceless, and only he could tell them the way he did "made you cry with laughter each time you heard them". His songs, when he sang, would tell his own story. His love for life was amazing along with crazy at times.... with his "let's go" high energy and hyper way .... was enormous. His charm and charisma was like no other with a huge heart. He will be missed by so many, but his legacy will carry on, as we all have so many wonderful and funny stories to continue to tell others. I am honored to say I was his friend. Rest in peace John I will miss you so very much.
