June Parsons Obituary
Mardela Springs - June Marie Parsons, 88, of Mardela Springs, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 at her granddaughter's home. Born in Alexandria, VA, she was the daughter of the late James Clyde Raynes and Sadie Marie Miller Raynes.
June and her late husband were lifelong poultry farmers. She used to enjoy her flower and vegetable gardens, cooking Sunday dinners, and she deeply loved and adored her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Marie Parsons of Brownsville, KY, Brenda Kaye Allen of Mardela Springs, and Debra Ann Hurley of Hebron; five grandchildren, Jennifer Horner (Nathan) of Laurel, DE, Robbie Zimmerman of Mardela Springs, Bryant Zimmerman of Parsonsburg, Shelby Hurley of Hebron, and Travis Hurley of Hebron; 3 great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Kimberly, and Kinsley; a brother, Donald Raynes of Fredericksburg, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, June was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Louis Parsons in 2001; a sister, Lois Furr; and a brother, James Ray Raynes.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Rev. Barry Groh. Due to COVID, seating will be limited, however services will be live streamed for your convenience.
