Kay J. Chaney

Selbyville-Surrounded by her family, Kay Joanne Chaney died peacefully on February 7, 2015, following a long illness. Kay is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry, by her two children, Deborah and Michael, by her daughters-in-law Julie Boughn and Christi Chaney, and by her beloved grandchildren Josh and Jenna. She is also survived by her many friends from her life in Howard County and the Ocean City, MD area, by the many, many children who loved her, and by her faith community at Faith Baptist Church. She was known for being wise, caring, fun-loving, and a great cook. She will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Faith Baptist Church Memorial Garden. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, February 12 from 3-5PM at Faith Baptist Church, 519 South Main St, Berlin, MD. A Service to honor Kay's memory will follow immediately at 5PM. A second visitation will take place from 2-3PM on Saturday, February 14 at Mt Airy Christian Academy, 16700 Old Frederick Rd, Mt. Airy, MD, with a memorial service following immediately afterwards. Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

So sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife and Mother. I have wonderful memories of Kay and our adventures in Ocean City and sorry I'm not there to be with you, but please know that our prayers are with you and know that Kay is now at peace. Kay was a wonderful lady and a great help with the Centaurs 4H Club. The obit failed to mention that she was also a Baltimore colts Cheer leader! What a neat gal.
