Larry Lee Rash Sr.

Barclay, MD - Larry Lee Rash, Sr. of Barclay, MD, passed away on May 30, 2018 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, surrounded by his family. He was 81.

Born on September 2, 1936, in Worton, MD, he was the son of the late Marion Carter and Henrietta Duyer Rash. He graduated from Chestertown High School, class of 1956 and served in the United States Navy, until he was honorably discharged in 1960. Mr. Rash worked for Centreville National Bank, Peoples Bank of Elkton, Farmer's National Bank of Maryland and Chestertown Bank of Maryland, where he retired as Executive Vice President in 1997. He resided in Barclay and Nanticoke, MD, where he enjoyed his retirement, being with his family and friends, and spending time on the water.

In addition to his wife, Maxine Rash, he is survived by a son, Larry L. Rash, Jr. and Roseanne of Barclay, MD; two daughters, Robin Janice Holt and Jack of Marydel, MD, and Patricia Ann McBride and James of Sudlersville, MD; a brother, William M. Rash of Bradenton, FL; a niece, Lisa Carol Powell and Nicholas of Galena, MD; nine grandchildren, Kyle Powell, Kirby Powell, Kaitlin Rash Kirby, Justin Rash, Josh Holt, Cory Holt, Sarah Holt, Hannah McBride, and Ben McBride and three great-grandchildren, Braelynn, Ryan and Kane.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 1:30 pm at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Chestertown, MD, were relatives and friends may call from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm. Interment will be private.
