Roxana-Madeline Tyre Lewis, age 89, of Roxana died Monday, April 21, 2014 surrounded by her family and loved ones at the home of her daughter, Janice. She was born in Roxana and was the daughter of the late John H. and Estella (Evans) Tyre.

Madeline was a homemaker and a member of The River Wesleyan Church in Roxana.

She is survived by a son, John W. Lewis and his wife Winnie of Selbyville; two daughters, Barbara L. Gray and her husband Glenn of Roxana and Rev. Janice L. Bunting and her husband Rev. Tom of Salisbury; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orlando W. Lewis in 2010 and a granddaughter, Melisa Gray in 2001.

A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at The River Wesleyan Church in Roxana with Rev. Tom Bunting officiating. Friends may call an hour before the service. Burial will be in Roxana Cemetery in Roxana.
