Michael Bridge Obituary
Salisbury - Michael Scott Bridge, 59, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury.
He was born May 20, 1962 in Salisbury, son of Glynn R. Bridge and the late Gloria Jean (Payne) Bridge.
Mike graduated from Wicomico High School with the class of 1980. He was a long time member of Melson's United Methodist Church in Delmar. For many years he worked cutting grass and doing odd jobs for "Go-Getters" in Salisbury. Mike had a keen mind and was a gifted chess player. His passion was 80's rock music and he was a big fan of REO Speedwagon. He also loved baseball, was an avid O's fan, and had a special place in his heart for dogs. Mike will be remembered as a loving son, brother and friend to many.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his stepmother, Gladys Bridge; sisters, Sharen Bisson (Stephen), Gloria Dosch (Steven), Glynda Callis, Debra Webster, Sharon Waters (Charles), Sandra Horsey (David) and Donna Johnson; aunts and uncles, Nancy Bridge, David Bridge, Dorene Rice and Bill Payne; multiple nieces, nephews and cousins; and his special, extended "Go-Getters" family.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, followed by a service at 1:00. The Reverend John Oltman will officiate. Interment will follow at Melson's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent in his memory to Melson United Methodist Church, 32705 Melson Church Road, Delmar, MD 21875.

I had the priviledge to know Mike since 1989. We both were involved with Go-Getters. I admired Mike in that he always wanted be a postitive impact in the lives of people he knew.
