Hebron-Michael Taylor Hastings, 30, of Delmar, formerly of Sharptown, died Saturday, January 28, 2017 of natural causes due to a medical condition at the home he shared with his friends Zach Phillips and Gary Collins, Jr.

Born October 18, 1986 in Salisbury, he was the beloved son of Kerry G. Hastings and Victoria "Vicki" Hastings of Sharptown.

He was 2005 graduate of Mardela High School and attended Wor-Wic Community College. He moved to Virginia to seek a career at Northrop Grumman Shipyard as an apprentice pipefitter. While with Northrup Grumman, he was part of the collegiate golf team and helped to secure numerous victories. Several years later he returned back to the area he loved to be with his family and friends and secured a job with Chesapeake Shipbuilding where he was working at the time of his death.

He loved football, basketball, golf, fishing, and playing on the river, and hanging out with his friends and family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his big sister, Michelle Hastings and his greatest joys; his niece, Marleigh Wink and his nephew, Spiro Stanfield ; his maternal grandmother, Betty Wheatley; aunts, uncles, great-aunts, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Paul Hastings, Sr. and Betty Hastings Kelley and his maternal grandfather, Will Wheatley.

Friends may call on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Sharptown Firemen's Memorial Building from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 1:00PM where friends may also call one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Galestown Cemetery at a later date. Rev. Bob Miller will officiate.

Services are in the care of Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market.
