I knew "Bobby" from Taney Ave. He was this guy that let a kid (and a girl) 4 years his junior tag along...our playground for years was the sandlot, blackberry patch and the tops of trees. In the summer it became "9th-11th" streets, "Georges Casino". the "Hanna's Beach Stand" and of course "The Alaska Stand". The "Boardwalk" and "The Beach" were our playground then and Bobby, it seemed, was always working with the family at "The Stand". As we got older he became "Robert"..... but as usual, always had a "minute" for old friends even during the busy times at "The Stand".....when was he not busy! It has been a few years since I have stopped by for that chat...and I am saddened by this news. Leslye, I am younger than you and I am sure that you don't remember me, but I send hugs to you and your family from afar.....
