Jamie, Anna Mae(Bill), Warren(Rose Ellen), My heart goes out to each of you at this time and the days ahead. I will always remember when Aunt Mildred came out of the trailer in Ocean City to tell us about the baby. It had to be just before, Rodd was born. Warren(Porky), we were just 14 years old. How the time moves on, I want each of you to remember all the special memories you have had as a family since then. In liu of flowers I will be senting a gift to Kendra trust fund. I know how special she was to him. I am also senting hugs and prayers for each of you.
Love your cousin. Myra Ann

Jamie, please accept our condolences. I have very fond memories of growing up living next door to the Owens'. Rodd was always over our house and like my brother said, one of the first friends we ever made when we moved here from Baltimore. I smile when I think of the pet chicken he had ..he first called it Chester and realized it was a female and changed its name quickly to Chesterette. He'd rescued it when it fell from a Perdue truck. That's just one of many stories that make me smile when I think of Rodd. That's just the type of person he was. When I worked at the hospital and a large snow storm hit in the middle of my shift, he came and picked up Bev Wilson and I at midnight one night just so we didn't have to spend all night at the hospital. Again, that was the kind of person he was! We have another angel watching over us up there now. My family and I will keep you all close in thought and prayer during this most difficult time.
My Father and his heart that lived outside of his body.

Dear Jamie, Our prayers are with you and your family. Rodd was one of the nicest people we ever met. The Chances loved him like a brother. Even though they drifted apart through the years, he was always in our hearts. We are sure that Bruce welcomed him with open arms in heaven. Both will be smiling on us for a very long time. If there is anything you need ,please do not hesitate to call us. Our prayers are with you!
