Samuel LesCallette Obituary

Samuel Patrick LesCallette

Salisbury - Samuel Patrick LesCallette, "Pat," 59, of Salisbury, died Thursday, March 1, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 24, 1959 in Baltimore, a son of the late Millard Grant LesCallete and Corinne Schofield LesCallette.

Pat grew up in Salisbury and was proudly one of the last students to attend Campus Elementary School at Salisbury State. He graduated from James M. Bennett High School with the class of 1977 before earning his B.S. degree from Salisbury State College. He worked as a medical transcription liason at Peninsula Regional Medical Center for over 24 years before retiring in 2017. He was an active member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Salisbury where he sang in the choir, attended adult Sunday school classes and enjoyed playing in the church softball leagues. He was a lifetime, faithful O's fan. When not working or at church, Pat could be found emphatically working in his yard, always striving for the perfect lawn.

He is survived by his wife, Carla Lewis LesCallette, to whom he married January 23, 2018; step-daughters, Danielle Hurchalla of Salisbury and Megan Todd and her husband Chris of St. Petersburg, Florida; a brother, Kevin LesCallette and his wife Ilsa of Salisbury; a sister, Jennifer Deshon and her husband Brian of Nicholson, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Kyle LesCallette, Erika Deshon, Samantha Deshon, Jonathan Lewis, Rachel Lewis and Matthew Lewis; a great nephew, Malik; a great niece, Mariah; and his mother-in-law, Margaret Lewis of Salisbury. He is also survived by his beloved cat, "Cliff."

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Hastings LesCallette who passed April 1, 2017.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Salisbury, where a funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Dr. William Warren will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Allen Memorial Baptist Church, 1303 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD 21804 for the "Allen Memorial Traditional Music Program."
