Timothy Kraemer Obituary

Timothy Joseph Kraemer

Salisbury - Timothy Joseph Kraemer, 62, of Salisbury, died on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 11, 1956 in Philadelphia, PA, he grew up in Edgewater Park, NJ and was the son of the late Frank and Theodora (Skoniesny) Kraemer.

Timothy was a Senior Engineer V and was working for NRG Energy at the Vienna and Indian River Power Plants. At the time of his death, he had been with the company for over 38 years. Mr. Kraemer was a long time member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Salisbury where he served many years as a Deacon. He was an avid lacrosse fan and also loved the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. Tim volunteered many seasons coaching softball, soccer and baseball as well as volunteering at YMCA swim meets. He also served as a volunteer with Boy Scouts. However, nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family.

Timothy is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 37 years, Deborah M. Kraemer; three children, Laura K. Bernstein and her husband Jarred, Amy K. Carpenter and her husband William and Thomas J. Kraemer; four grandchildren, Jonah and Elijah Bernstein and Graham and Isla Carpenter. He is also survived by a brother, Robert Kraemer and his wife Sharon; two sisters, Marianne Kraemer and Susan Kraemer; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Kraemer and Phyllis Gaul as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his mother and father, Timothy is preceded in death by his step-mother, Marie Kraemer; a brother, Gerald Kraemer; a sister-in-law, Linda Olson and her husband, Harold Olson.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Providence Presbyterian Church, Salisbury. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Jason Shelton will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Providence Presbyterian Church for either the Deacons Fund or the Missions Fund. Donations may be mailed to Providence Presbyterian Church, 311 Parker Rd, Salisbury, MD 21804.

Tim hired a black engineer from Philadelphia that was having all kinds of trouble finding a job. Tim saved me at a time that I needed help and I am forever greatful. Sorry to hear of his passing 4 years late. R.I.P. Tim. Thank you.
