Daniel Valverde Obituary
Danny was married over28 years to Eslinda Lopez, who survives him, of the family home.
Playing for Deming High School in his teens, Danny was All Star in football and basketball. A surveyor for over 30 years with the state Highway Department, he enjoyed being outdoors – hunting and fishing. He was also a Eucharist minister, coach of children's basketball, and a player and composer of guitar music.
Preceding Danny in death are his parents, Tommy Sr. and Josephine Valverde.
Those remaining to carry on Danny's legacy are his wife, Eslinda; daughters Kathy (Scott) Cady, Anette Valverde, Denise Valverde (Paul), and Brenda Valverde; sister, Sylvia Valverde of Deming; brothers, Tommy (Linda) Valverde of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Albert (Lola) Valverde of Deming, and Richard (Aurora) Valverde of Las Cruces. Additional survivors include 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, seven stepchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Jesse and Carmen Fuentes, Evelyn and Victor Soto of Guadalajara, Richard Fuentes of Albuquerque, Joe and Delma Fuentes, Dora and Roger Shorter of Aztec, Sammy and Willdean Fuentes, Debbie Fuentes and partner, Rena Salcido.
A viewing will be Saturday, May 7, 2016, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, May 8, 2016, 1 to 5 p.m.; Monday, May 9, 2016, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Rosary will be recited Monday, May 9, 2016, at 7 p.m. Mass celebration will be Tuesday, May 10, 2016, 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Mark Fuentes, Jesse Ray Acosta, Samuel Steven Fuentes, Jesse J Levario, Anthony Fuentes and Nathaniel Fuentes.

I remember Danny from a young age, even though my parents are both gone I want you to know he is remembered. He was a friend to Charles and Mary Steapp! May God bless and keep your family in this time of need. Hold tight to the memories!
