When I think of Jim, I can't help but remember a time at the house at Tri-Lakes. Jim came into the living room where we were all gathered one morning. He was scantily clad (i.e. underwear), and, after hearing a mortified yell from one of his daughters or his wife about having company, he said, "What? It's just Heather." I laughed. I felt like family, you know, just one of his girls. He was a bit of a pistol like that, and he had a hearty laugh and an infectious grin to go with that ornery disposition. I know that he was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. To Marilyn, the girls, and the rest of the family, I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. To Jim, thanks for making me feel like part of the family in a way that only you could get away with.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to our family to give your condolences! The memorial service was just as Dad would have wanted it, fun with lots of laughter at Dad's many exploits. Dad was an amazing, generous, kind person who will be missed by so many--his daughters most especially! He was always so proud of us and supportive. We could not have had a better Dad. Marilyn,
I have thought of the two of you so many times in the past years. Lost track when you went "rv-ing". Have so many fond memories of "jasE" from the beginning at Kentucky Central and going forward for many years after that. I will always remember his infectious laugh and his willingness to help anyone in need.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you as you go through this difficult time.

Dad, I'm so happy you are not suffering anymore. With you, there are so many memories, like when you went with me to buy my truck, and you said, "I love going with you to help you spend your money". The times you and I helped each other around our houses. I will never forget those times Dad! My heart aches, for you were the Dad I never had. Like Tammy said, "I know you are not resting in peace", but you are very busy catching up with all those who left before you. Love and miss you, Your son in law.
