Yvonne "Dee Dee" Serrano, 81, a resident of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. She was born April 8, 1937 in Bernalillo, NM to Claudio and Jennie Benavidez Muñoz. She loved life. She loved going to casinos. She loved her companion "Baby". She loved her yard. Most of all, her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her companion Bernice "Dusty" Chacon of Santa Clara; two sons, James Serrano; Jake Serrano and wife Wendy; four grandchildren, Jacob Serrano, Savannah Serrano, Nathan Carreon and wife Francis, Nolan Carreon; one great grandchild, Levi; one brother, David Muñoz and wife Rosalie of Santa Clara; two sisters, Terry Chacon of Hurley; Stella De La Torre of Santa Clara; two uncles, Isaac Benavidez and wife Mary from Bullhead City, AZ; Robert Benavidez from CA; various nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, September 27 from 5-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the holy rosary to be recited by Deacon Richard Rodriguez to begin at 6pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 28 at 10am at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Father Abraham Soliz officiating. Concluding service and interment will follow at Memory Lane cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Muñoz Jr., Danny Muñoz, Irvin De La Torre, Emilio Rivera, Victor Nanez, and Jason Nanez.
