Anthony Cavallaro Obituary
Penfield - Thursday, January 21st, 2021 at the age of 65. Predeceased by his mother, Grace. Survived by his father, John; sons, John (Susan) and Anthony (JoJo) Cavallaro; grandchildren, Skye, Zoey, Landen and Caden; sister, Tomasina Cavallaro; brother, Lawrence Cavallaro.
Family and friends are welcome Wednesday, January 27th from 4-7pm at the Profetta Funeral Chapel 1650 Empire Blvd. (near Plank). Anthony's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 28th at 10:30am in Holy Spirit Church. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. I just found out that Tony has passed away. I sent him a friend request on FB and I was wondering why he didn't accept it. I am so sad to hear of his passing. I thought about him often over the past year. I wanted to thank him for many things and to see how he was and if he was happy living in Florida. Tony had a heart of gold and he put up with a lot. He was my 18 year old daughter's landlord for a while. He was wonderful with her. I wanted to tell him how she went into the army and bought a house in Monticello, New York and she is in her fourth year of Nursing. Jennifer will be getting her bachelor's in the spring. Tony taught her so much and he treated her like a daughter In many ways. Jennifer knows how to lay down tile, and repair just about everything mostly because of Tony. Jennifer moved out of the Lake Avenue apartment to an apartment on Harvard off of Park Ave. She redid her studio apartment into a loft apartment. I think Tony would have been pleased. She watched everything that he did and learned a lot.
My ex-husband moved into the apartment on Lake Avenue when Jennifer moved out. David was an alcoholic and Tony put up with him at that time. Actually, Tony had an incredible sense of humor. I was very embarrassed by everything. I never told Tony but it was embarrassing that he knew my family at the absolute worst time in their lives. Tony didn't judge anyone and I believe he always looked at the good in people and he focused on the funny stuff. David moved out and actually went into several programs for help. The past few months have been so good for my ex-husband and I. We are best friends and he was helping me with my house and going to the gym with me. I told David that I wanted to get in touch with Tony and update him on everyone and let him know why I didn't keep in touch. David died a few weeks ago. David loved the Lord and I'm sure Tony did, too. When they meet in heaven I'm sure they will laugh together reminiscing over some of David's shenanigans.

I just learned of Tony's passing and I am totally stunned ! My heartfelt condolences to the family of Tony Cavallaro ! Tony has been a friend since the late 70's and gave me instruction when I went to work part time at the Ironedequoit Home Depot almost 14 years ago. Tony used to come into the Home Depot where I work and I would always take the time to talk a little with him and find out how he was doing. Always great seeing and chatting with him. RIP my friend. You will be sadly missed !

Please accept my sincere condolences. Shortly after his diagnosis, Tony called to set up a lunch meeting, so that we could simply talk. After that, we met for several more meals. We shared our best stories, successes, disappointments, and even some regrets. Mostly, we joked and laughed and expressed our individual gratitude for our families, friends, and the bountiful lives we have lived. Rest in peace, my friend.
