I met Bruce at the Dino about 15 years ago. We had our special spot by the stage for the band. We always wanted to be as close to the music as possible & be able to get out on the dance floor as soon as possible. Once dancing, it was hard to get Bruce to stop for a rest. He was definitely part of the Dino family.
I moved away for a couple of years, & when I moved back my boyfriend & I immediately went to the Dino & Bruce was there at the end of the bar as usual. It was so great to see him, but so sad to hear of his fight with cancer. He remained positive & had a resolve to beat it.
Bruce was one of the sweetest, gentlest, & unselfish spirits I've ever met. The world & the Dino has lost a GREAT man.
It was such a privelege to know him & dance with him. The angels have a great dance partner.
We love you & miss you. Our condolences to the family & other friends.

I am sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing. Sadly it lends credence to the adage that the good die young. I have many fond memories of growing up in small town America during simpler times hanging out with Bruce and all of our school friends. Bruce, I can still see you cruising around in your Dad’s Big Blue Pontiac Convertible. What fun we all had! It truly was the time of our lives and I am so thankful that we were able to share them.

We were very sorry to hear about Bruce's passing. Summer nights remind me of sitting on the boat listening to the music from the bar, eating that little bag of clams, then tooling around the bay. My family remembers him being the life of the party when he came 'downstate' to visit (and of course tour our lumberyards!). Fond memories. Sincerely,
Joan and the Quinn Family

A Matter of the Heart
It doesn’t matter if we are near…
Or if we are far apart…
For when it comes to friendship…
It is a matter of the heart.
Bruce and I did not need to talk each day…
To feel the ties that bind…
It is the bond we share within our souls…
That makes our friendship shine.
Our love for each other cannot be measured…
By time or distant miles…
But by the last 9 years of precious memories…
That so often made us laugh and smile.
For it makes no difference whether we live or die…
Our hearts will always touch…
I love you Bruceeee……Janine 6/19/11

Dear Walt and Mark, I am saddened to hear of Bruce's passing. It's been many years since I have seen any of you, as I moved away many years ago, but I remember well our family get togethers, time robs us of many things, but not always our memories. I hope that you will be sustained by all your great memories of your brother, he was a great guy, and, as I read through the messages, it appears he was a darn good dancer...good for him...I'm sure dancing kept him young, and helped him through some very though times. God had other plans for Bruce, he's probably already taken over some kind of leadership duties!!!
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you both!

Bruce was an incredible man. He accepted his illness and never complained and fought the illness with every known solution known to man.
He kept his spirits up by laughing and dancing with all of his friends who loved him. He found solace in his plight by all the love that he received from his many friends. He remained firm in his resolve that he was heading down the right path and that some day he would beat it. But death came knocking on his door and he accepted his plight like the incredibly strong man that he was. All of us who knew him and understand the daily problems that he was facing that he took in stride like the true hero that he was. He set an example of not giving up for all of us. He will be missed.
