Carl Fribolin Obituary
Geneva, NY: 97, passed away at home, on Jan. 20, 2016, with his family at his side.
Carl is survived by his daughters, Anne Fribolin Stagg (Gordon) and Patricia Cunningham (Donald); and his companion, Elizabeth Mitchell, and her sons, Gregory and David. He is also survived by his grandchildren Shannon Stagg Picard (Dennis), Gregory Stagg (Theresa) and Paul Stagg (Michelle) and Leslie Slater (Dean) and Michael Cunningham; and by great-grandchildren Nicole, Jacob and Julia Picard, Ryan and Lindsey Stagg, and Kaylyn and Justin Slater.
Carl was predeceased by spouses Margaret Voorhies Fribolin and Fanny Defendorf Fribolin.
Carl leaves behind numerous dear friends and business associates from his many years of commitment to his community and involvement in agriculture.
The family wishes to express profound thanks to Dr. Jose Acevedo, Dr. Jason Feinberg, Dr. Joseph Gomez, Dr. Phil Wirth, Dr. Manuel Enecilla and Ms. Terri Haskins. We offer special appreciation to the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Geneva General Hospital and the Living Center South Transitional Unit. Their combined expertise, compassion and caring will never be forgotten.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 1:00 to 1:45 PM at the Smith Opera House, 82 Seneca Street, Geneva, NY. A celebration of Carl's life and a reception will follow. Burial will be private at the Clear View Cemetery, North Cohocton, NY.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to The Finger Lakes Health Foundation, 196 North St., Geneva, NY 14456; or the Fribolin Lecture Series at Keuka College, P.O. Box 98, Keuka Park, NY 14478.

Remember when Carl came to Seedway, when it was still known as Robson Seed Farms and Robson Quality Seeds--the retail outlet which he headed up. Pretty well liked by all there, he helped this small seed company, the place known for developing Zuchinni Summer Squash, and esp. the Seneca line of many varieties of both sweet and field corn. He was also known in the poultry field with employment near Ithaca when he transferred to the Robson family seed business. A great business man. Martin Brasted--former employee of Robsons.

We just heard about Carl's death. Carol and I both thought that Carl was one of the smartest and kindest gentlemen on earth. What joy he brought to all our lives will never be forgotten. Treat him well my Lord, he deserves it. Dan and Carol Mossien
