Suhr, Carl Joseph Jr. "Joe"

Palmyra: 72, died on Sun., Nov. 20, 2011. Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Fri., Nov. 25th at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 W. Main St., Palmyra where a funeral service will be held at 10am on Sat., Nov. 26th. Burial with military honors will follow in Palmyra Cemetery. Please consider memorials to VA WNY Health Care System, c/o Volunteer Office, 3495 Bailey Ave., Buffalo, NY 14215 or to Lifetime Care, 513 W. Union St., Newark, NY 14513.

Joe was born on June 28, 1939 in Clifton Springs, NY to Carl and Susan Fox Suhr Sr. He and the former Carol Catchman were married on Oct. 26, 1963 in the Palmyra United Methodist Church. Joe was a life member of the Palmyra Fire Dept. and a medic for 35 years. He coached Vince Lombardi Football for 15 years and was a coach with Newark Reds Softball team for 5years. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Army flag in honor of Joe's service to our country.

Joe is survived by his wife Carol; daughter Jodi (David) Arbogast; son Carl J. (Ginger) Suhr III; sister Debbie (Bill Colburn) Suhr Rothfuss; brother Bruce ( Gloria) Suhr; sister-in-law Bonnie Burgess; grandchildren Sarah Arbogast, Carl Suhr IV and Breanna Lea Suhr, loving aunt Dorothy Boardman and many loving nieces, nephews cousins and extended family members.
