Cregan, Christine M. "Chris"

Webster: Died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at age 56 surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Bernadette Statt. She is survived by her loving husband, Dan Cregan; her children, Sean (Kim) Kennelly, Ryan Kennelly, and Ciara Cregan; 2 brothers, and 7 sisters.

Friends may call Friday, 6-9pm at the funeral home of ALVAH HALLORAN & SON, 2125 Chili Ave. A funeral service will be held Saturday, 10am at Chapel Hill, 8 Prince St., Rochester, NY 14607. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Highland Park Conservancy, Inc. 180 Reservoir Ave., Rochester, NY 14620

This is so deeply saddening and very tragic. I have known Chris for 20 years and worked closely with her at Lu Engineers for 15 of those. She was a mentor and guiding force in my early days at Lu and was always willing to help. She encouraged me to explore my love of flying and get my pilots license and to always expand my horizons and to never stop learning and living. I am sure that she touched many many lives in a positive way and she will be sorely missed.

I am so sorry for the loss of such a sweet and kind lady. I only got to talk to her briefly when I was visiting the office but she was always smiling. My heart is so heavy to hear the news. I will keep her alive in warm memories. RIP Chris.

Although I have met Christine only once , at a family gathering at her parents' home, during the past few months she became someone to be admired for her courage, and decency. I am a friend of one of her sisters, so I often heard what a nice person she was. During the last month or so, Christine‘s illness was often a topic in our phone conversations. From Christine there was no whining. She continued to work and be active in her home, even when undergoing somewhat incapacitating treatments. .
I prayed for a different outcome, wanting her to make it. God's will was otherwise. It is a comforting though that medically she was given the best and did not have to go ti alone, supported and solaced by her devoted husband and surrounded by the love of her whole family. I would like to offer my condolences to the whole family and to assure all of yon u of my continuing prayers for Christine's eternal welfare and for God's consoling love for you who are left behind.
