Christopher P.
Rochester: Passed away on, December 7, 2016, at the age of 37. Predeceased by his father, Paul W. Dettman. He is survived by his mother, Jean M. Alberti; his siblings, Theresa Rogers, Mary Kay (Jeffrey) Preedom, Kevin (Geraldine) Dettman, & Jennifer Dettman; long-time love, Karyn Schmidt; many nieces, nephews and friends, including best friend, Brian Lucieer.
Family will receive friends 2-4pm & 6-9pm, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. His Mass will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 9:30am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions may be made to: www.gofundme.com for Chris Dettman.

I dont know if you remember me, but my name is Eric Winegard. I used to live in Greenleaf meadows in the early 90's. I used to play backyard football EVERYDAY with Chris, his brother Kevin who always had to play QB, Steve Shea, BJ, Adam Mona etc, that was a very unique time in my childhood development. I was in the 6th grade while the rest of the guys were in the 7th grade. They used to beat the absolute crap out of me but it really did toughen me up like no other. I still drive by those old apartments from time to time and I always get a strange sense of being there again and at that age.
I am so sorry for your loss.
