Rochester: September 7, 2009. Survived by his son, Cristian L. Mercado; his mother, Emma M. Mercado; father, Clarence Mercado; sisters, Alexandra E. Mercado, Nancy M. (Ivor) Baker II, Socorro Mercado, Janet M. (Roberto) Hidalgo; brothers, Daniel Mercado and Jose Diaz; several nieces and nephews.
Calling, Saturday 1-3 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 North Goodman St. Funeral Service after calling at 3 PM. Interment, private.

I am deeply devastated by the course of action that has taken place and my heart is with his soul pride and joy whom he loved very much, our 'mini-me'! Cristian, your father loved you very much and always will.... My deepest sympathy and sorrow goes to the family, friends, and those who were there for him these last couple of weeks. I am deeply sorry for your loss of a father, son, brother, uncle, best-friend, compadre, co-worker, and friend.
We have had many memories these last 10 years and they all were great in their own special way. My latest and happiest memories of Pilly was seeing him at peace and ease whenever we made eye contact and shared moments of love, live, and the will to try to handle all things that came our way. Our trip to NYC for his birthday was so beautiful in all aspects and he was able to see one of his favorite bands, Grupo Niche. That brought live and light into him. Amongst his love for cars and a lot of other things, he was a great lover for music and he thrived on and enjoyed to the fullest. He was so overwhelmed with excitement, happiness, and that he could be free without a care in the world that he made me feel that same way. That was the Pilly I knew, the Boobies I loved, and the Clarence I cherish....

Clarence was my second cousin and the nicest guy I've ever known. He and I go way back. We would have our laughs, our good times and etc., but the one thing that always made me happy when I see a smile on his face was that he and I would always get along. My Brother, Adrian, My Father, David, and My Mother, Sandy called him by his nickname which was Pily. I never knew why I called him that, but he really didn't mind me calling him that.
To all of Clarence's Friends and Family I give you my sympathy.
Clarence, you will be missed. I love you!!
