David Bierworth Obituary

David P. Bierworth

Neenah, Wisconsin - David Paul Bierworth, of Neenah, passed away on November 1st, 2018. Dave was 76 and had fought valiantly for fifteen years with Parkinson's Disease. David married Marilyn Schneider November 9th, 1963 at Saint Theodore Church in Gates, NY. David and Marilyn would have been married 55 years this November 9th. Dave is survived by his lovely wife Marilyn, daughter Christine & her husband Scott Young (Madison) and 7 grandchildren: Josh, Jacqui and Jessica Wollin; Martin, Menkem, Petar, and Hatsey Young; and son Michael (Neenah). Dave is also survived by his sister Diane Brooks (Arkport, NY), sister-in-law Nancy Bierworth (Glendale, AZ), sister-in-law Renee Hill (Rochester, NY) and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in in death by his parents Dave Bierworth & Beatrice (Hayes), brother Gordon Bierworth (Glendale, AZ), brother-in-law Ken Brooks (Arkport, NY), sister-in-law Betty Schneider (Rochester, NY) and nephew John Reeners (Rochester, NY).

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, he graduated from Spencerport High School in 1960 and literally never missed a day of school. Dave received an appointment to attend the Coast Guard Academy (1960-63) before transferring to Stanford University. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering in June 1965 and a Master's Degree in Engineering in 1966. After returning to New York, he attended the University of Rochester, earning his MBA in 1976.

Dave retired from Kimberly-Clark Corporation (1983-2007). Previously, he worked for Xerox Corp for 9 years in Rochester, NY and the Wisconsin based West Bend Company and W.H. Brady. While working at Xerox, he was awarded a US Patent for a copy machine 'fuser assembly' design.

Dave had a love for the water and was an avid fisherman. He lived on Lake Winnebago for over 30 years and spent many hours fishing local reefs. He was a huge Packers Fan! His favorite players were Reggie White, Bret Favre and Aaron Rodgers. He was blessed to get front-row seats at Lambeau Field for Reggie's last game and had sideline VIP passes in 2013 - those memories will last forever. Dave had also spent many years coaching soccer from youth teams to a successful select team named the Mequon Sting with the Milwaukee Kickers club. He had enjoyed many fun trips to Disney World and visits back to Rochester, NY to see family and our dearest friends who kept us in their prayers, giving love & support to us through the years. We love and miss you all.

David will be greatly missed by his wife, family, 7 grandchildren, great god son and many friends. He will be remembered as a gentle soul who loved animals and had a special bond with Bear-Bear and Chester who sat and cuddled these last months. Petar and Hatsey will never forget the best fireworks ever this past summer with Grandpa.

A private family service will be held and David will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah.

To honor Dave's love of animals, memorial donations in his memory may be made to Neenah Animal Shelter at 951 County Road G, Neenah, WI 54956 or the Fox Valley Humane Association at N115 Two Mile Road, Appleton, WI 54914.

"What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us" (Helen Keller). To the most loving Father and Grandfather, you will forever be a part of us all.

PS: Dave, I hear heaven has some great fishing, so just keep reeling them in. And save some room in the boat for me. Love, "Your sweetie-pie"

Im so sorry to hear about this just today and send my heartfelt condolences. Dave was a great person and my first boss at KC. I had the privilege to work with him several times throughout the years. Dear Marilyn, Mike, and Chris,
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you. Dave was a most wonderful neighbor and we all enjoyed his humor, knowledge on all subjects, his insights into the Packers, his flowers, his neighborly help at anytime and his joy. He loved life, especially his children and grandchildren and kept his good cheer in spite of his challenges. We admire and treasure his spirit and memory.

I remember Dave from Spencerport High School where we were classmates. He was very smart and very much a gentleman. It is sad that he had to endure a demanding health issue in his later years. The tribute in the Rochester D&C was so well written; and one could tell from the words alone how very much he was loved. Sending you all peace and love.

Dave was a high school classmate of mine and I just wanted to say how very sorry I was to see his obit in our local paper. He was a good soul and it was so nice to read about his life after Spencerport. A number of classmates meet for lunch monthly and I will share this sad news with them. Take care.
