I just heard about the loss of David from my mother. I grew up with Aaron, Peter, David, and Amy on Elmgrove Rd. I ran into Dave 3 yrs. ago, at Ridge Lumber. So many happy memories!Mrs.Northrup, Aaron, Pete, Amy and David's son and family: I am so sorry for your loss. Dave was a great kid that grew to be an even better man. Take care of each other.

Dave was one of the first friends I made through Ultimate here in Rochester. Great guy; fierce competitor. He always had a smile and a kind word. I am so sorry he's gone.

When my sister Lorraine told me the news today I was saddened and shocked: I grew up right next door to Dave and his family on Elmgrove rd. Although I have not had contact with Dave since he and his family moved about 30yrs. ago, (wow) I am not surprised that his current friends describe him as I remember him- kind, positive, friendly, and a great role model. I could see those qualities in him even when we were both teenagers. My heart goes out to you "Mrs. Northrup", Aaron, Peter, and Amy.

My husband, Lou, has known David for 20 years. When Lou was laid off, David was at our door to offer him a job with him and his company. What a life saver. He was a wonderful guy and we are truly thankful that we got the time that we did with him in our lives. He was very generous and caring. He will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to his family.

I also played Ultimate with Dave and knew him since 1985 or so... He was arguably one of the best Rochester players ever and his quiet intensity made those around him better. The decade or so that we spent traveling to tournaments and playing local leagues was some of the best times of our lives.
I will miss him and I hope Ethan understands what a great person his dad really was.

I also played ultimate frisbee with Dave for many years. He was always a positive person, who loved the game, but more importantly he was always there with encouragement and a positive attitude. I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

Dave and I played ultimate frisbee together, he was a geat teammate and made every one around him better. We would run into each other occasionally since our "retirement" from frisbee and he always had a smile. I will miss him and my prayers go out to his family. Willie

I knew David years ago and we were very close. He was such a good kid and we had a lot of fun together, especially playing tennis. I have thought about him often over the years and am very saddened to learn of his passing. My sincere condolences to his wife, son, and Amy.

Dave and I were high school friends and lacrosse teammates. We lost touch over the years, but had run into each other at the gym a couple years ago, and had since rekindled our friendship. In fact, we had dinner at his house a couple weeks ago and reminisced about the "good old days" at IHS. My sincere condolences go out to Dave and Linda's fine son, Ethan, and the rest of the family. I'll miss you buddy.

I knew Dave for over 20yrs through Ultimate. He was a fierce competitor on the field. He always played harder than anyone else and was one of the best. In recent yrs we reconnected through his business and he was very good at what he did. When ever I saw him he was very happy to see me and I will always remember him. Ted Naylon Jr
