David Phelps Obituary
Ogden: Monday, December 16, 2013, at age 63. Predeceased by his father, Donald; brother, Douglas. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Pennello) Phelps; sons, David (Melissa) Phelps, Christopher Phelps (Michelle Miller); grandchildren, Dominic and Jacob Phelps, Emma Phelps and her mother, Kim; mother, Margaret Phelps; mother-in-law, Lisa Pennello; sisters, Kathleen (James) Lamb, Linda (Otis) Taylor; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Anthony and Patty Pennello; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. David was on the Board of Directors of Gates Ambulance and a proud Air Force Veteran of Vietnam.
Friends may call FRIDAY from 4-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Saturday morning, friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 10:00 in St. Christopher's Church, N. Chili. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Honor Flight Rochester, Inc.. PO Box 23581, Rochester, NY 14692 or to Gates Ambulance,1600 Buffalo Rd., Rochester, NY 14624 in his memory.

I know what you are going through having gone through it myself. Dave fought some amazing odds and endured much more than anyone should have to endure. It is hard to watch someone you love go through so much but he fought to stay with you and the kids until he knew it was time. You will go through so many ups and downs but you will find comfort in knowing that he is now resting in peace. May GOD give you and your family the strength to get through the rough road ahead.
