David Sample Obituary
Chili: Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the age of 76. Born in Pittsburgh, PA. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Julia; children, Michael (Anne) of Orono, MN., Kimberly (Dirk) Traphagen of Wayland, NY and Kurt (Darlene) of Penfield, NY; 5 grandchildren, Connor, Sean, Nicole, Sara and Annika; sisters, Jean (Chuck) Jameson and Ruth Barr. Dave is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retiree of United Airlines.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the Hildebrandt Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion given to Dave in his final days.
Private Service and Interment at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center.

I know this is very late as Dave's passing but Dave and I worked in Rochester Air Freight for United Airlines for many many years. We were very close friends. I dod nit know of Dav's passing. Julia, we drifted apart after so many years but I am so sorry to hear about dave's passing even thought it was some time ago. Our deepest condolences to the Sample family. We only had the opportunity to meet Mr. Sample a few times, but he was always smiling. We have enoyed seeing that smile shared in the photos on Facebook. It really displays how happy he was in his role as a father, grandfather, and devoted husband. We know that this has been a long road for his family and we continue to pray for peace and comfort for you all.
