Fanning, Dorothy
Newark/Geneva--Dorothy M. Fanning, 88, died on Friday (August 15, 2008) at the Geneva General Hospital.
Friends may call Tuesday (August 19th) from 4 - 7 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday (August 20th) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's School, 325 South Main Street, Newark, New York 14513 or to DeSale's High School, 90 Pulteney Street, Geneva, New York 14456.
She is survived by two sons Michael (Nancy) of Alexandria, Va. and Jeffrey (Karen) of Geneva; five grandchildren Mathew, Kathleen, Ryan, Kevin and Christopher; a great granddaughter, Isabelle. She is predeceased by her husband Robert in 1998, a daughter Kathleen in 1973, a sister Margaret Lytle in 2004 and a brother Robert Hovey in 2008.
