Garland, Eugene P. (Gene)

Webster: Passed away peacefully on November 27, 2014 at age 84. Gene is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary; children John (Beverly) of Rochester; Tom (Chris) of Penfield; Paula (Mark) Heberling of Webster; Sue (Ed Perfetti) of Tustin, CA; Ken of Pittsford; and Dave (Claire) of Golden, CO.; grandchildren Kristine (Justin) DeWolf, Dan Garland, Andrew Garland, Laura Garland, Taylor Heberling, Tracy (Todd) Hoffman, Matthew Perfetti, Chester Garland and Henry Garland; and great-grandchildren Amelia DeWolf and Noah Hoffman.

Born in Erie, PA, Gene was a Korean War Army veteran. He moved to Rochester in 1963 to manage, and eventually own, Main Camera Center. He enjoyed cars, music, woodworking, gardening, collecting and restoring cameras, and spending time with his large and loving family. He was a good friend to many and will be dearly missed.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday, November 30, from 2 to 5 PM at the Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Avenue, Webster, NY. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Gene to St. Ann's Leo Center for Caring.
