Gilbert Sparks Obituary
Gates: Gilbert G. Sparks passed away suddenly on July 17, 2015 at the age of 82. He was born September 7, 1932 to the late Wallace and Rose (Hovey) Sparks. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Bruce Sparks and sister Dorothy Ferguson. Gilbert is survived by brother; Donald (Betty) Sparks, sister; Carol Morgott, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 16650 Route 31, Holley, NY, on Wednesday July 22 from 10:00 to 1:00 where his Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 following calling hours. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Holley. Memorial contributions in Gilbert's name may be made to Clarendon Historical Society Chapel Fund, P.O. Box 124 Clarendon, NY 14429. My sincerest condolences to the family of Gil Sparks,
I shared many years at MIXCO with Gil. He was a patient, understanding, kind, and very talented man. Gil attended many parties and entertained us with his wonderful piano playing and dancing. Rest in peace Mr. Wonderful. "New York, New York"

To the family of my friend Mr. Wonderful,
I am truly saddened to hear about Gils passing. I worked with him for many years at MIXCO and he attends our retiree picnic every year. His nickname of "Mr. Wonderful" fit him perfectly. He was a truly wonderful man, a good friend to many and always, always cheerful with good words of advice and friendship to all. My sincerest condolences.
