Mrs. Lipitz was my 4th grade teacher at #17 school back in the early 90´s. I ended up moving to Virginia that year, but often thought about her over the years. I wanted to look her up and see if she was still teaching and found her obituary. She instilled in me the passion for reading and made such a great impact on me. I only knew her for a short time, but I will never forget her. I know I´m super late, but I want to offer my condolences to the whole family.

Mrs. Lipitz was my beloved 4th grade teacher. She fostered my love for reading, challenged me to improve my writing, and instilled a love for both in me. It was in her class that I decided I wanted to be a teacher, and I have now been teaching for 22 years in the RCSD. I recently heard of her passing, and I will never forget her!

We are truly sorry to learn about the loss of Hela. We were neighbors a few years ago and always admire her passion for gardening and her diligence of having the most beautiful house in the neighborhood! Really fun lady to know!
Our sincere condolences to Jan and family.

I always looked up to Hela as a new teacher. She taught me a lot.
Most of all, I still cherish the time she invited me to be a part of her family for the Sabbath meal and all of the conversation that was held that evening. She was a special lady and a great teacher.

She was my 5th grade teacher. She told me to never be ashamed of my intelligence. I became a teacher because of her inspiration.

I worked with Mrs. Lipitz at School #17 until she retired. She was a very dedicated teacher and a sweet lady and co-worker. I'm sorry for your loss!
