Janet Woodruff Obituary
Penfield: Janet passed away peacefully on April 13, 2012, surrounded by the love of her family. Predeceased by her mother, Ethel Shropshire (Harrell), and her father, Leonidas Pate Hughes. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy (John) Price; her brother, Sidney (Donna) Hughes; her son, Scott (Joan) Woodruff and daughter, Tammy (Jeff) Hall; her 6 grandchildren, Tanner, Brodie, & Kiara Woodruff, and Sierra, Payton, & Tristin Hall; in addition to her nieces and nephews.
Janet was a Boy Scout leader, a coach, an excellent seamstress and worked as a purchaser for Nifty Bar in Penfield for 27 years. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, country music, musicals, and gardening. Janet was a world traveler, had a witty sense of humor, and was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and friend.
Thank you to all the compassionate caregivers at Lipson Cancer Center, Lifetime Care & Hildebrandt Hospice Care Facility as well as her friends and family who supported her. You helped make this difficult journey a warm and loving one for Mom, as well as for her family.
Friends and family are asked to help celebrate Janet's life at the funeral chapel (1031 Ridge Road, Webster) from 1-4 PM on Sunday, April 22nd. Memorial donations in Janet's memory may be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Facility, 3111 Winton Road, S., Rochester, NY 14623 or at: http://www.lifetimecare.org. as we drifted away over the years the memories will always be there. From the cub scout days too going out and listening to dave donnelly your mom will always hold a special place in my heart. now she is with my father he will watch over her r.i.p janet

Janet was one of the kindest women in the world. She had a smile that didn't quit. It is an honor to call her our friend. We loved her & will miss her. Our hearts go out to you, Scott and Tammy. You guys have always been in our thoughts & will continue to be. Your mom was the best!!
