Jason Sedita Obituary

Sedita, Jason A.

San Antonio, TX: Born Aug 19, 1982, Rochester, NY. Died June 19, 2017, San Antonio, TX. Survived by his wife Martina (Fame) and son Giovanni, parents Paula and David Sedita, brother Stephen, his sister Colleen, grandparents Paul and Joanne Schmidt, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Jason and Martina welcomed their son Giovanni on Dec. 29, 2012, the happiest day of their lives.

Jason was a 2001 Penfield High School graduate and immediately joined the Army. He was active duty for three years, deployed to Afghanistan and proudly served in the reserves for an additional 12 years. SFC Sedita retired from US Army in 2015. He earned a BA with honors in history and education from St. John Fisher College and an MBA from Wilmington University. He was currently employed as a Product Support Analyst at Whataburger. Jason had a strong love of his family and his country. He was a proud veteran, served in many capacities and especially liked to train and mentor soldiers. Jason will be remembered for his infectious smile and his selflessness in giving to other veterans. His life revolved around his wife and son but he still found time to talk to his parents almost daily. Jason loved history, all types of music and had a deep connection to God. We will celebrate Jason's life July 15, 10:00, St Joseph's Catholic Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd., Penfield.

And here am I... buddy. among the ruins. with only sorrow to bite on... weeping where you and I talked of our dreams.. for within those special times we looked out at the world and it smiled back.

Come back even as a shadow. Even as a dream.

And then it flows over me. like a warm blanket. And I am comforted. deep to my soul. that you'll be there waiting. when I see you again-Alex
