Joan.
My friend--I talked to you about a month before I was surprised by seeing your name in the paper.
You are such a kind person with so many friends that I am sure you will be missed by many. I did not know your family, but you spoke of them often, especially the grandchildren.
I feel you have gone to a better place--I will miss you.

To Joan's family,
I was so surprised, and dumfounded to hear of Joan's passing on Good Friday. I had been wondering why I hadn't heard from her since Christmas. She never once mentioned her illness. Joan was a huge fan of our Classmates website and often wondered out loud what did we have to do to get some of the other classmates to take part and enjoy it as we did. She always enjoyed our class reunions and even though she was hundreds of miles away, she did her part as a member of the reunion committee, in finding and contacting some other classmates, which she almost always was able to do via the internet. She was amazing. I know she was so proud of her family....the grandchildren especially. It pleased her to no end when I put Mackenzie's picture on our photo page, and for awhile, on our cover page, which was sent to me by another classmate, Ralph, which had been in the newspapers from the college she was attending....She was so proud! Joan was the life of the party....enjoyed as much as she could and we all enjoyed her presence with us whenever she came home to East Rochester, NY.
I would like to submit some of the photos we have in our files which I think her family would enjoy seeing.
Would like to extend special condolences to Richard, her brother, and also our classmate. May God be always with all of you during your time of grief.
God bless you!

Lisa & family,
I am absolutely heart-broken over the loss of my long-time, dear friend Joan. She was right there for me everyday when I was ill and needed a special friend and I don't know if this was sudden but I do hope she didn't suffer. My sincere condolences to her wonderful family that she loved so much. I will miss her greatly.

Lisa, Ron, Stephanie, Zachary, Mackenzie and Richard...
I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend, Joan. I was fortunate to have talked with her in the week before her passing and we shared some wonderful memories. I wish that I had known of her illness at the onset so that we could have had more time to reflect on the wonderful friendship we enjoyed for over thirty years. She will be missed by her beautiful family and her many friends.
