Leckinger, Joan Cornell

Annapolis, MD: On March 4, 2014, at age 81, at her home with her family by her side, after a 4-year battle with cancer. She was born June 27, 1932 in Rochester, NY, attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Rochester, and St. Michael's College, University of Toronto. She worked for Kodak in the 1950's, as a paralegal for the firm of Pierson, Ball & Dowd in Washington, DC during the 1970's and 80's, was a member of Secular Franciscan Order and a longtime member of St. Mary's Church Choir. She loved spending time with her family and granddaughters; Girl Scouts.

Predeceased by her husband, LTC Paul A. Leckinger, Sr. She is survived by sons, Paul (Joan) Leckinger, Jr. and Charles Leckinger of Annapolis, MD; Richard Leckinger of Auckland, New Zealand and James Leckinger of Annapolis, MD; granddaughters, Athena Christine Leckinger of Annapolis, MD & Sara Leckinger of Riva, MD.

Calling hours Friday, March 14 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, March 15 at 9:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD. Interment, Arlington National Cemetery, at a later date.
