Hess, John H. "Jack"
Fairport: (4/15/24 - 3/29/10) Predeceased by his sisters, Margaret Maier and Marian Stadtler. He is survived by his wife, Jan; his daughter, Patricia; step-children, Kathleen Embury, Anne (Tim) Cliby, Tim and Patrick Dwyer; 2 sisters, Betty Gutmann and Ruth Schuech of Rochester; 6 step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Jack was a graduate of Aquinas, the U of R, Phi Beta Kappa. He served in WWII with the 101st Airborne. He was employed at Eastman Kodak Company for over 30 years, as a Chemical Engineer and Department Head. Jack was an avid golfer and served on the Board of Directors at Ontario Golf Club for 12 years, a member for 40 years. He had a passion for photography. He valued faith, family and friendship.
Family and friends may call Friday, 1-3, 6-8, at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, Egypt location, 7501 Pittsford-Palmyra Road. His Funeral Mass, Monday, 11 AM, 4/5/10 at St. John of Rochester Church, Fairport. Entombment, White Haven Memorial Park, Fairport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jack's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Road North, Rochester, NY 14609 or Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623.
