John Shimshack Obituary
Olcott, NY: Entered into rest Monday, April 16, 2012 in Niagara Hospice House. He was a Marketing Executive for Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY for many years. Father of Michael Shimshack of Nashville, TN and Jay Shimshack of New Orleans, LA. Grandfather of Mullaney and Marley Shimshack. Brother of Sallie (the late Gary) Thompson of Wilson, NY, Mary (Peter) Muller of Dundee, NY and Jean (Anthony) McKenna of Olcott, NY. Also survived by his first wife Marianne Shimshack of Rochester, NY, second wife Jennifer Shimshack of Hilton Head, SC and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St., WEDNESDAY 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated THURSDAY at 11:00 AM at St. Brendan on the Lake (Olcott Site) Main St. Olcott, NY. Memorial contributions to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094 or Melanoma Research Foundation 1411 K Street NW Suite 500 Washington, DC 20005 would be appreciated. Mike and Jay - my sincere condolences for the loss of you Dad. Losing a father is a difficult and profound experience. I send my love and condolences to all John's family and friends. He was a wonderful man and such a great friend all these years. He was Dennis's best friend and now they are together having a brew and telling sailing stories. He will stay in my heart always

John and I were roommates through engineering school in Detroit. I will miss him terribly. He was such a kind and even tempered person.
Again, I will miss him very much.
