John Spanganberg Obituary
Penfield - Monday, October 21, 2019 at the age of 85. Predeceased by his son, Todd Spanganberg. John is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Spanganberg; children, Heidi (Jon) Temple, Tim (Annette) Spanganberg; grandchildren, Kristin, Alyssa, Steven, Laura, Nicholas & Allison Spanganberg, Jessi (Dan) Kunkel, Mckayla, Katrina & Isaiah Temple; a nephew, nieces, and cousins. John was proud to be a Navy Veteran having served in the Korean War and retired from the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was an avid train enthusiast, reading, riding and collecting.
His family will receive friends Monday, October 28, 5:00 - 8:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.), where his funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2:00 pm. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Honor Flight Rochester, P.O. Box 23581, Rochester, NY 14692.
