My late wife worked with Joe at the Acton Library, I knew Joe from St John's 7:30 mass, I live across the marsh from his home and often see the light over the garage and send him
my prayers.

Dear Breindel Family,
I think of Joseph every day, I go by the house (live in Cornfield Poin)t and say prayer. I also miss his readings at 7:30 mass.
My wife Pam passed in April she worked with him at the library for years. She loved him also.
I now feel his grief when he lost his wife
Not easy, but faith can guide us as it did him.

Joseph was very kindred man. As my patient we would often discuss interesting topics. I was shocked at his passing and he will be missed by everyone at the Old Saybrook office.
My condolences to the Family.

May you be continually comforted by pleasant thoughts of happier times together. May the peace of God that excels all thought, guard your heart.

Dear Breindel Family,
Please accept our sincere sympathy on the loss of Joe. We had the great pleasure of being with Joe on numerous occasions volunteering at the Goodspeed. He was a dear friend and faithful volunteer, always ready to accept assignments ushering or giving tours. He also served as corresponding secretary of the Goodspeed Guild, despite his other volunteering hours at various venues at the shore.
His life was a purposeful one, the only kind worth living. He was a man of unselfishness and faith. May he now enjoy eternal rest with his beloved Joan.
Sincerely,
Barbara and Peter Guerra

I have just learned the news of Joe Breindel's passing and am stunned. I knew Joe both as a librarian at the Acton Library in Old Saybrook and as a co-president of the Friends of the Library Board. He always gave me a hard time when I came into the library, which I always got a kick out of. I'm so grateful I got to see him last month after one of the meetings. I will offer a Baha'i prayer for the departed in his memory.

Dear Jonathan, Jessica and Jeremy,
We so sad for your family and ourselves. Joe was a good friend and neighbor. We shared a love of jigsaw puzzles, a good glass of wine and a sense of humor. His smile would light up our day and we will miss him dearly.
Sincerely,
Pam and Ed Antolino

Dear Jonathan, Jessica & Jeremy, I'm so saddened to hear of your Dad's passing. A terrible shock to you all and also to us his friends. I know for sure Joanie was waiting for her Prince. They were the best couple and are finally together again. Know my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Rest in Peace Joey Bear !!!

Joe was one of the most wonderful, loving, and witty people I have ever known. I worked with him for many years at Acton Library in Old Saybrook, Ct, where he made a big hit with the patrons. God thought of us when He put him on this earth, to do many kinds of services for other people , often along with his wife Joan. I will miss him as a great friend and was so blessed to have him as a library colleague for many years. He will be greatly missed by untold numbers of us.
