I just saw Kay's callsign on the Silent Keys page of the ham-radio magazine QST, and am so sorry to hear about her passing. I met her on the air shortly after I was licensed in the late 1980s, and her warm welcome was part of what kept me in the hobby. It was also my pleasure to chat with her in person at picnics and hamfests. My deepest sympathy is with her friends and family.
