Ed and I were very saddened to learn of Lloyd's passing. Whenever we spoke to him at an event we were all present at he was always a pleasure to talk to. We both remember, at one such event, his description of how physics made it highly unlikely that a paper airplane could be flown into the open rooftop of a car, which would mean you would win the car. It was a wonderful explanation. He was right; no one got the paper plane it in.
Please accept our most sincere condolences,
Susan and Ed Messing

34 years ago, Lloyd and I met in building that, in places, was falling g down around us. It was structure that possessed an
ephemeral quality primarily because it did not exist in the usual scheme of things. I had no idea who and what he was. Over the course of a year, I came to treasure our mini meetings. His truly wicked sanguine sense of humor;the ubiquitous brown thin
stick dancing in his mouth while holding forth a perpective that made it plain - genius is doing common things uncommonly well. He will be profoundly missed. His like will not pass this way again. My deepest condolences to his family and cherished friends.

I have taken many rides around this town with my friend Lloyd through the years . Many times he would be on the phone with Ursaula for a quick call. I could hear the love Lloyd had for her through the one sided phone calls i heard. Lloyd was the smartest man i ever had the pleasure to know.He was a good friend to me. I will miss him deeply.

So very sorry to hear about Lloyd's passing. He was a wonderful gentleman and Xerox Colleague.
Probably my most humorous story about Lloyd was a result of a call I received from Ursula asking me to bring him a couple of bottles of Heinz pickle relish for his burgers.... on my next trip to the UK. He thanked me every time I saw him after that.
Lloyd will be missed by many.
