Margot Norton Obituary
Pittsford - Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 14, 2020, after a long illness at age 81.
Born in Rochester, NY, Margot graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School in 1956 and Marymount College in 1960.
Margot is predeceased by her daughter, Katherine Lee "Kate" Norton. She is survived by her husband of more than 57 years, Gerard (Gerry) Norton; her children, John (Elizabeth) Norton, David (Henry Flax), Maureen (Mark) Deckman, Michael (Lynette) Norton; five grandchildren, Megan, Erin, Colin, Shannon and Matthew; brothers, John and Tom Dessauer; and eight nieces and nephews.
A Private Funeral Mass and burial will be followed by a Celebration of her Life at a later date. Donations may be made in her name to McQuaid Jesuit High School, Advancement Department, 1800 Clinton Avenue S., Rochester, NY, 14618 or Our Lady of Mercy School For Young Women, Advancement Office, 1437 Blossom Road, Rochester, NY, 14610. Prayers to the family. My name is Meg Shanahan I lived across the street 5 fletcher road Johnnie was my age. My family all live in Carlsbad (San Diego) . I received this page from my sister Donna. My mother Ginny Shanahan also passed in her sleep unknown cause last year. Again my prayers are with you!

I am so sorry to hear of Margot's passing. We were
friends when we were young at St Louis elementary.
She was a year ahead of us in school but we were all part of the Pittsford girls when we were students at Mercy High school. My sympathy to your whole family.

We played , as young girls, together! My Aunt, was Mrs. Kassel who came to assist her Mother.. May they all rest in peace.
