Healey "Cracker"

Pittsford: September 6, 2013 at the Highlands Living Center. She was born on July 4, 1935 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Marian "Hoppie" Healey and George B. Healey. She is survived by her husband, John Dirck Ten Hagen and four children, Jane (Van) Harissis, Dottie (Gray) Durham, John D. (Kelly) Ten Hagen, Jr., Peter G. (Suzanne) Ten Hagen; nine grandchildren; brother, Ted (Tish) Healey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Marian graduated from Davenport Iowa High School, attended Iowa State University and Nazareth College. She worked several years at the library at Pittsford Mendon High School. She lived in Pittsford with her family for the last forty years. She was active in her church and was a long-time member of Chapter U of P.E.O. At one time she was an active member of the Pittsford Art Group.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to their many friends in Pittsford. In particular, friends at the Highlands and staff and friends at the Living Center.

Friends may call Friday, September 13, 3-5 and 7-9 PM (note time change) at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). Services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford, 25 Church St., Pittsford. Dear Dirck,
So sorry I could not be with you. My condolences go out to you and your family. I will always treasure the memories of 'Cracker" playing the piano at our Investment Club Parties. She was a firecracker.

Hi Mr. Ten Hagen, Jane, Dottie, John and Peter. Just learned of Cracker's passing. What a treasure. We were so blessed to have all lived together on Parkridge Drive. Your Mom had a special place in our hearts and in all our photo albums. SO many great memories of 4th of July Celebrations! Please consider yourselves hugged.
