I'm very sorry to hear about Matt's passing from this phase of life. My earliest memories of Matt go back to the Fifth Grade and perhaps even earlier. He was always fun, full of life, and a great athlete.
May God be with you in your hour of sadness and may his memory be eternal.

Dear Meg and Families - So very sorry, words are weak in such times.
Very few people gather so many true friends as you and Matt have in your life together. Matt was an amazing man in so many ways and we are richer for being able to call him our friend.
We are grateful for our times together and will cherish every memory.
Love you and when you are ready to get away there are arms ready to embrace and endless puppy kisses for you here in beautiful Utah.
Please remember A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and sings it back to you when you have forgotten how it goes.

I am just starting to allow myself to feel this one...
Such a great loss losing Matt. It will take a long time to get used to this new normal without you to light that spark in our lives and to keep us laughing.
One thing I do know is that when the sadness lightens a little, we will all have those ridiculously funny and happy memories to keep us warm and bring a smile. Your laughter will always remain in our heads and hearts along with the days you lifted us up and made us feel loved.
You will always be my favorite.
Thank you for every single second Matthew my friend...

Dear Meg, Ted Jenny and Family,
We are sad to read the news of Matts passing. The Collins family was a great addition to the Turk Hill Rd neighborhood so many years ago. It was great that a childhood friend chose to stay in the area. Matt always had a big smile and a friendly wave whenever we passed by. The neighborhood is going to seem a bit smaller without Matt's big personality. I will think of Matt whenever I see someone with a long stride walk across the fields.

I'm. So saddened by this news. We had some great fun together and memories that will forever be with me. Matt was such a kind hearted person and he had a smile that always lit up a room and made you feel welcome even if you weren't. Meg I know how much he loved you from all the years you've been together. And my hope for you is that the love you had will help heal your heart to be able to smile instead of cry for your loss. My heart and thoughts are with you and your family.

Love and best wishes to meg and family. Many friends hearts are aching right now. Matt meant the world to all of us. For almost 50 years I heard that laugh and enjoyed Matt's comments!! He shared his love for music with us and his light. Our world is a little darker and quieter today. Rest In Peace Matt.

As a class member of Matt's and a member of the lacrosse team, it was very sad to hear of his passing. One, of many memories I have of Ted is that he was a great cartoonist. I remember watching him in homeroom just draw these amazing action figures. Peace has come to him and I do pray for the same for his wife and son.
