Matthew Alan
Los Angeles, CA / formerly of Pittsford: June 14, 2017 at the age of 32. Matthew is survived by parents, Paul and Catherine Shapiro; sister, Jillian Shapiro (Alexander Rialdi); grandmother, Marilyn Shapiro; aunts, uncles, and cousins; a loving and supportive family of friends in Los Angeles and Orange County, California. Predeceased by grandparents, Gerald Shapiro, Yens J. and Rita Nelson; aunt, Karen Schnapp.
Matt was a graduate of Pittsford Sutherland High School and Babson College. He loved baseball, cars, golf, skiing, and, most of all, his family. Matthew will be remembered for his kind heart and sensitivity to others.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 22, 1 PM at St. Louis Church, 64 S. Main St., Pittsford. Interment at Pittsford Cemetery. A Reception to follow interment at Genesee Valley Club, 421 East Ave., Rochester. The family will receive friends at their home on Friday, June 23, 1-4 PM and 7-9 PM, 2981 Clover St., Pittsford. The family requests the consideration of no flowers; please send donations to Catholic Charities, 1150 Buffalo Rd., Rochester 14624 or Jewish Family Services, 441 East Ave., Rochester 14607.
