Maureen Cogan Obituary
(nee Fallon)
Penfield: February 16, 2014 at the age of 76 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Maganey County Kildare, Ireland. Arrived to the States in 1964 and settled in Penfield in 1968. Predeceased by her parents, John and Julia Fallon; brothers, Desmond and Terrance Fallon; sister, Margo Fallon Kay. Bernie is survived by her husband, Ray Cogan; brothers, John (Anne) Fallon of CA, Kevin (Marijke) Fallon of Zimbabwe; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Bernie will be remembered for her sense of adventure, love of reading and travel and quick wit.
No prior calling. Bernie's Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 1st, 10 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd., Penfield. Interment, Oakwood Cemetery.

Bernie lived right behind me and we had a very close friendship for almost 3 decades. We would sit and chat for hours about her travels her family and all the matters that concerned us as women. Bernie loved her orange marigolds and I am starting some in her memory this spring.

Bernie was my dad's first cousin but we had lost touch following my dad's death in 1996. I have very fond memories of Bernie's sense of fun and big personality. She was truly a force of nature and I am really sad to hear she has died. I wish her husband and family my sincerest sympathy.

I met Bernie at bowling at Clover Lanes. She was such a fun, lively woman and will be sorely missed. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
