Melanie was my daughter's, Irene, big sister. She was a great role model and confidant during Irene's teens. But best of all, they remained friends for a lifetime. It was an honor to have knowned her and welcommed into her life as she entered ours.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Larry, family and friends. Melanie was such a light in my life. We worked together several years ago and became close friends since then. I will dearly miss our phone conversations and hearing her voice. So glad, though that she is with her Lord, joyful and glorious. I love you Melanie.

Melanie truly lived the motto "Live, Love, Laugh". I met Melanie in 1979 when we both lived in the same apartment complex back when we were in our early 20's. She was a dear friend/adopted sister over all these years sharing many of those big life events.
I keep having memories of the happy times and all the times we laughed so hard together, usually at our most recent shenanigans. I too am feeling very blessed that I was so lucky to have a friend like Melanie in my life.

Melanie was my cousin. Even though we have not been in touch with each other, I will always remember your beautiful smile and your happy attitude. My heart goes out to your sisters and brother.

To Melanie's family-I was at a funeral of the mother of a mutual friend of ours when I got this news and was sorry to hear of this great loss. I worked at the Dept. of Human Services in San Francisco with Melanie and she was a favorite of many of us, so fun, kind, caring, interesting and so many other wonderful things. I am sorry for your loss and just wanted to let you know she was loved by many here in San Francisco.

To Melanie's family: I'm a friend of Melanie's in CA and met her while working at Eastfield Children's Center. I heve known her over 20 years. I helped her move more times than I care to count, helped her name her crazy dog, laughed with her while listening to her crazy, wild, and "only Melanie" adventures, and cried with her many times as we shared in each other's life. I will miss her so much. I will always remember how she coped with her many set backs with humor and grace. I feel blessed to have known such a kind and good hearted woman and was honored to be her friend.

Melanie and I went to High School together and belonged to the same sorority. I remember her as a warm and friendly person. Her passing is a great loss. My thoughts and prayers are for all her loved ones left behind.

Melanie, I still can't believe you are gone. My heart is SO sad for your family and friends but I pray you are at peace and pain free. You always made me laugh and I will miss our phone conversations so much. Wish I could hear you call me sweetie one more time. Many, many good memories of our times together and that is what I will remember. RIP in my friend.

Dear Melanie,

We will all miss you this year at the RL Thomas 40-year High School Reunion. But you are having an even better reunion in heaven and we shall reunite with you again someday soon.

I pray that God covers the friends and family with His peace and comfort during this time of earth's loss but heaven's gain.

Your friend and classmate,
