Mia Lora Fame

Fairport - Passed unexpectedly June 17, 2018 at age 18. Mia had a passion for life and people, always happy to talk and help anyone. Survived by her parents, Stephen Fame and Susie Woods; stepfather, Simon Woods; Mia's adored step-siblings, Lila Woods and Harry Woods; maternal grandfather, Jim Backus and paternal grandmother, Loraine Fame. Mia was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Loretta Backus and paternal grandfather, Samuel Fame.

Mia is also survived by aunts and uncles, Nancy and Gary Green, Tom and Leah Fame, Michael and Carolyn Fame, Karen and John Derby, David and Maria Fame, Richard Fame, Stephanie and Nicholas Lucania, Jim and Karen Backus, Lori and Will Embser, Julie and Jerry Leva; all twenty two cousins.

A Private Service will be held for friends and family. In lieu of flowers and to celebrate Mia's love of animals and the other loves of her life, her pets, Drago, Ginger, Lucky and Girly, please make donations in Mia's memory to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450. When I first met Mia, I just remember how outgoing, friendly and fun she was. Her bubbly personality and openness made it so easy to get to know her and adore her. I was one of her 7th grade teachers when she was in Pittsford. I remember she was very creative, caring and always took time to connect with peers and adults. That smile would light up the room. She often helped the kids who needed extra attention. She loved spending time with her Mom and Dad. She moved to Victor at the end of that school year. Our Barker Road School misses her and sends our deepest condolences. My heart aches for her family. Sending prayers and love to you all.

Mia would always shop at a store I used to work for at the mall. Everyone there loved her and loved helping her pick outfits. When she came in, she lit up the room. I remember how insecure she used to feel at times when trying the clothes on, I would always tell her otherwise. She was so beautiful inside and out. She was so genuine and kind to everyone. I wish I had more time with her. My heart goes out to all her family and friends.

Mia once said to me-
Its life. you just have to accept the good, the bad, and the ugly of people.
I think this is a really good representation of Mia's heart. She was selfless and loyal, she was vibrant and genuine and loving and accepting, I could go on and on. She just cared.

This world is a different place without Mia, and i will miss her for the rest of my time on it. I want to thank her for inspiring me to be so fearlessly myself, to be genuine, and to be loving. Her life was far too short, but she still managed to make such an impact with such little time. I love you always Mia.

I am praying so deeply for Mia's mom, dad, siblings, and doggies. She adored you all immensely.
