Nancy Collins Obituary

Collins, Nancy M.

Pittsford: March 24, 2015. Nancy Collins passed away peacefully with her children and grandchildren by her side. Nancy fought right to the end because she loved life, her children, her grandchildren, her sister and brother, friends, her aide Robin and especially her animals (dogs, cats, birds, Squirrels…) She lived her whole life in Pittsford N.Y. and there aren't too many people who weren't touched by her kindness and generosity over the years. It is this reason that we celebrate her life going forward and know that she has joined her husband Charlie after 30 years apart.

Predeceased by her husband, Dr. Charles Collins. She is survived by her children, Cathie (Jim) O'Connor, Doug (Jenn) Collins and Cindy (John) Shuman; grandchildren, Teddy O'Connor, Caty O'Connor, Lexy Collins, Devin Collins, Charlie Shuman and Hope Shuman; brother and sister, Clayton "Bud" (Dr. Joan Thomas) Miller and Joanne Collins; many nieces and nephews and good friends.

Friends may call Friday, 5-8 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Memorial Service will be held Saturday 2 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford, 25 Church St., Pittsford. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450 or go to donate online at www.lollypop.org/honor. A wonderful village neighbor. We spent many sunny afternoons in our adjoining back yards discussing everything from peonies to pesky squirrels and wandering ducks. She will be missed. Kathy & Art
